I had read the Bride's Necklace hoping that Ethan would get his own story. And reading both books, I was wondering if Rafe too, the honest, honorable and dependable friend would end up with his own story as well. I was happy that he too had a spin off tale of his own. Each of these stories was very different from the other and I loved how the common thread was the necklace being passed from friend to friend in hopes of it bringing the couple good luck. To me that was a lovely way to weave the tales of each character together. I also loved having Cord and Tory and Ethan and Grace in this book as well.Now as for Rafe and Danielle. When I read the reviews here for this book I almost didn't order it. Because it seems that most folks really didn't like it as much as the first two. I have to say, for me this was the best of them all. There was such an emotional connection between these characters. This book is a page turner. You so want Rafe to get Danielle to be his bride and you so want them to live happily ever after. And boy there are things in their way that make it seem not possible. They once loved each other so deeply. But then a scandal happened and both of them were so devastated, vowing never to love again because of the hurt it caused. Also I must add that Caro's story with Robert is delightful and the whole story you are cheering not only for Rafe and Dani but for Caro and Robert as well.
I just finished this story today and I had tears in my eyes at a certain point. Not many romance books have that effect on me. But this one, well you were so drawn in you could not help but feel for the characters.
My best advice is if you liked the first two, you will definitely love this one!

I loved this novel as i have said with the previous novel "The Bride's Necklace" this trilogy is perfect in every way, from the description of the necklace it self to the legend behind it to the stories of the lives it changes.

Good book for reading. It has so many moving parts. That necklace had to be a beautiful piece of jewelry. Would like
to have one like it myself.
This book is easily a 5 rating for a deep emotional impact. The character of Rafe was adequately described in the first two books so that made a feeling of personal attachment as the book began. I have to say I quickly determined the ending but I do not think it would have been good to have had a different ending. Loved the against books and certainly would recommend this trilogy.
This 3rd book of Kat Martin's Necklace Trilogy was absolutely phenomenal. I read it in two days and could not put it down. Read it at traffic lights, during commercials on TV and every waking moment. It ended the trilogy in a dramatic way and was spellbinding. Kat is my new favorite author for Historical Romance and I am working my way through ALL of her books. She is poignant, sensuous, and clever as she weaves her stories together with accurate attention to historical detail. I feel as if I truly KNOW each and every one of her characters and her descriptive talents are boundless. Don't deny yourself the pleasure of this trilogy.......The BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
